a shift in perspective

In order to have change in the world around us, we have to inspire change within us. The world outside of us is a manifestation of the world within us. This class has an emphasis on refining shapes which we are accustomed to, allowing a slight shift in perspective to bring a new world view.

if we look deeply at the hurt and violence in the world we can see there is a common thread that underlies all of these incidents, and that underlies all violence, and that thread is not generally recognized in the media and public discourse: a sense of separation from others—separation of one human from another, of humans from other animals, and of humans from the Earth.

at the beginning of the class we chant:

VASTU-SĀMYE CITTA-BHEDĀT TAYOR VIBHAKTAḤ PANTHĀḤ

EACH INDIVIDUAL PERSON PERCEIVES THE SAME OBJECT IN A DIFFERENT WAY, ACCORDING TO THEIR OWN STATE OF MIND AND PROJECTIONS. EVERYTHING IS EMPTY FROM ITS OWN SIDE AND APPEARS ACCORDING TO HOW YOU SEE IT. (PYS 4.15)

This class was recorded from my home as a Zoom call, from CA and around the globe. I call out the whole class and partially demonstrated (it was a video call). During a time while we are mainly staying at home, let us stay connected through practice and reverence. Join along and breathe with us.
